What We Do
Design
At KOMAC, we have an in-house team of specialists working in the advanced Cadwork environment. We create detailed IFC models, which are automatically converted into machine files, enabling precise and fully automated production processes. Each design stage is carefully coordinated with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure complete technical compliance and the highest quality solutions.
Manufacture
Our production is based on a fully automated Weinmann system, supported by CNC processing centers, multifunctional CNC bridges, and assembly tables. This allows us to deliver prefabricated elements of the highest standard, including:
• fully closed and insulated walls,
• pre-installed windows, shutters, and blinds,
• façades in ETICS and ventilated systems,
• specialized timber façades produced in-house with nearly 100% completion before delivery.
Our prefabricated components stand out for their consistent quality, high precision, and full readiness for rapid on-site assembly.
Deliver
We understand the specific demands of construction sites and logistics. That is why we operate on a Just-In-Time delivery system—with accuracy down to the minute. A standard 1,000 m² building requires approximately 12 transports, executed in cycles of 3–4 trucks per day. This means that within just one week, a complete structure is ready for on-site installation. Our experience ensures that prefabricated elements arrive exactly when they are needed.
Our Story
KOMAC was founded in 2023 as the result of the vision and collaboration between Tomasz Kozik and Dr. Alexander Maculan. The company was built on a unique combination of local market knowledge, long-standing expertise in the timber industry, and a global perspective on business development and management. These strong foundations have enabled KOMAC to grow into a company that delivers innovative, sustainable, and future-ready construction solutions.
Tomasz Kozik
Tomasz Kozik has been associated with the timber industry and prefabrication sector for many years. He was a shareholder and co-owner of one of the largest pallet manufacturing companies in Europe, and since 2017 he has also developed a timber prefabrication plant. His expertise covers in-depth knowledge of production and material processes, as well as strong managerial skills in leading large organizations on the Polish market.
He holds an MBA and a Master’s degree in Finance from the United International Business Schools in Zurich and Barcelona, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the Cracow University of Economics and a diploma from the Lean Leader Academy at WSB University in Chorzów. From 2014 to 2021, he co-shaped the strategy of Palettenwerk Kozik Sp. z o.o., one of the five largest pallet manufacturers in Europe, employing over 400 people and generating revenues of 500 million PLN annually.
Between 2013 and 2021, he served as General Manager and CEO of Palko Sp. z o.o. Since 2023, he has been the founder and CEO of KOMAC, as well as co-founder and Vice President of HausWerk – companies engaged in the production, sales, and construction of prefabricated timber buildings.
He is the author and project leader of R&D initiatives co-financed by NCBiR and EU programs, including:
- “Development of an innovative modular prefabricated timber construction technology” – a project worth over 15 million PLN, which led to the creation of HausWerk and KOMAC,
- “Pallet 4.0 for the Industry 4.0 environment” – a project worth over 21 million PLN, resulting in the implementation of intelligent pallets with IoT-based monitoring and communication systems.
With his experience and vision, Tomasz Kozik sets the strategic direction for KOMAC’s development in Poland, building the company on solid foundations of knowledge, technology, and innovation.
Dr Alexander Maculan
